A multiverse of independant planes which exist, seperated by the Ether and the Void. Numerous races exist on these worlds, as does many forms of magic and technology. All characters are welcome within the Sundered Realms, but take note; All actions have reprocussions... Anything you do will affect PC's and NPC's alike. Take care in that...
Wars rage accross the multiverse, the precious balance teetering on the brink of loss. Gods have risen and fallen like the suns, leaving legends and horrors in their wake. Fearsome forces have gathered with mayhem on their minds. Both innocent and guilty fall indiscriminately before the onslaught of single-minded powers, hell-bent on their tasks. Time grows shorter and shorter... The realms have come to a crux; life or death. Those that can, hide.. Those that must.. Fight. Those who won't.. Die.
The decision is up to you.

Character Creation Process

Just posted!! A infantile version of the character creation process for the Sundered Realms.
Inside, you'll find the barest essentials for creating a SR character. It's hardly refined and completely lacking in some places, but... Like most things in this group, it's under construction. Sooner or later, I might even make it legible!!
Even better, a SR Character Sheet should be available before the end of the decade. Hurrah!
Newly Available

Newly available to the site-at-large are the Sundered Realms talents. New magical, utilitarian, combat, and berserker talents can now be taken by anybody, not just group members. Magical casting arts are also added to the list.

And benevolence is thine name. After six or so months of fumbling, moving, and procrastination, I'm back up on the internet.
High speed cable internet too. Welcome to the 21st century!
I'm going to try to be around alot more here now, with alot of exciting new projects in the work. One, a collaberation with another author/creator is a rp world known as Anacroth. Details are in the works, but we have decided to use FR as the test site for the game before publishing. It'll take a while, but keep an eye out for this great game.
Second is a desire to bring back chat rp for both Sundered Realms and Anacroth (when it's up and working). Be it through the chat rooms here or IRC, we're going to instigate weekly sessions and all are invited to play.
Finally, I'll once again have the time to dedicate to the Sundered Realms here and continue to add and expand the features available. I may even show my pock-marked face in other groups and rooms!
Truly, there is a god and he's no longer pissed at me.

Talent Show

Hey ho there story tellers. I'm beginning to add magical, combat, and utilitarian TALENTS to the skills section here on FR. Amazing, I know...
They are currently locked, however, unless you are a Sundered Realms group member. Why? Because I wanna. It might raise some interest in the group... If nothing else, it adds some anticipation to the whole set's release to the website-at-large. Which may even happen someday...

Oh and I've expanded out the schools of magic a little, adding a few that have been woefully neglected. Take a gander and lemme know what I'm missing.

Momentary Lapse Of Reason...

First, an apology to those few who had been playing in the Realms... Life is a fickle thing and a few turns in mine has prompted me to abandon Role-playing for a number of months. For both pesonal and gaming reasons, it's been a while since I've played either online or off. For that, the group has suffered and a few people have been left hanging.
But you may notice the occasional update or upgrade to the group itself. Fortunately or un, I find it nearly impossible to completely abandon my pet project here and, on the rare occasion, continue to peck a few letters into the keyboard. Hopefully, this'll eventually lead into a renewed interest on my behalf, as well as others...
At the current, the newest upgrades have been to the 'Skills' section. I've begun adding a fairly extensive list and will continue to do so as often as I can. There's currently a listing of Skills (learned knowledges) Bloodrights (inborn abilities and functions), Magical skills (spell-craft) and finally Merits/Flaws (aquired abilities and functions). The whole list is open to both the group and the FR site at-large. If there is something on the list you don't see and want or need, just let me know and I'll get to it....
Again, my apologies... But a little lapse in reason, now and then, allows us to remember what reason is to begin with.

Post Script Edit---> I'm thinking I've decided to do away with bloodrights at this moment in time. The difference between them and merits/flaws is close enough to combine the two groups... So, for now, that's what I'm goign to do.
Sundered Realms Chatrooms

Numerous new chatrooms are springing up within The Sundered Realms. We are hoping to cater to different clientel and offer new and unusual places to interact.
Two of the new rooms (Scrimdon Hall, Elden and the Witches Market) can be opened by any member of the SR group or Fantasyrole website. They have been created to add new layers to interaction and give players who don't wish to wait for a Group Moderator to open a chatroom a place to interact. Happy playing within them, but do note the few rules that apply within each select room.
A third chat, The Emperor's Throne in Old Atlantis, is a very discriminating room. It is open to HUMAN characters only. While there are a few exceptions, humans and their ilk are the only ones allowed within the confines of this chatroom. All other races will be barred. Tough.
Many more rooms will be popping up soon. We hope to fill out the multiverse and offer unsusual chatrooms where different plots, enviornments, and characters can meet and greet eachother. Relevant information is placed within the room's description, please read them and follow the rules.
The Time Of Reckoning

Fortunes smile down on us. The Sundered Realms is now open for play (if you hadn't noticed). Enough interest has been generated for this most illustrious event to commence.
It is still not too late to join the action. Everyday, every post, new plots are hatched, formed, and implemented. There is plenty of room for new players to jump in. Don't hesitate to get your feet wet. Besides the current online players, there should be four new characters from tabletop play joining the scene, most of which will be capable of posting for themselves.
As the multiverse grows, please remember that some within it have never played online, either in forums or chat. While all are veterans of innumerable tabletop sessions, some may need time to adapt to the digital way of things. For them, I reccomend reading the Learning/Tools section of the FantasyRole website. Many documents in this section hold a wealth of knowledge concerning online role-playing and etiquette and will be a valuable source for you.
To those who have already joined and posted... Good luck and a painless death.

It is time.
The group is nearly ready. Slowly, forces begin to gather... Fates are aligned. Soon, the Sundered Realms will be open for game play. A call is going out to those serious role-players who would like to become involved in a sci-fi/fantasy rpg, one with both offline and online participants.
The few criteria for acceptance are simple: the desire to shape a multiverse and the dedication to stick through to the bitter end. We are looking for players who want to get involved, be involved, and contribute. More than that, we are looking for those who are willing to remain in the game and post fairly regularly. Not every day, but with the goal of atleast one post a week... If this sounds like you, bring your character to the line and see what it's made of. Or, if you're interested, create a whole new persona based on the worlds and planes that lay within these boundaries of reality..
Forum and chat play will commence when a cadre of victims... Players, I mean... are gathered, be it a day or a month. When the time is right and all are ready, we will let slip the dogs of war...

Where ever you go, there you are... But where exactly is that? Now, you know. The Sundered Realms "Planar Guide" is now up and running, so check it out. See the sights, learn the ropes, but don't get lost...
For other groups who have a desire to be included on the map, just write me and I'll do my best. If you have a pic of your world or joint, send it to me. If not, I'll find one myself...
Blurb On Stores

Some of you may of noticed an increae in the amount of items in Turin's Pocket, one of the stores here in the Realms. I'm sure you've noticed the prices as well... Just a note: These are the suggested retail prices.. Or their worth within the realms. This isn't always the selling price. As a matter of fact, I'd rather have barter than simple sales. If you see something you want, open up a barter... Who knows, you may just get it. And, just to be specific... Role-play the barter. Rped offers ALWAYS get preference... And it's the reason for the increase in trange and magical items.
As for the group, it's still in coma status... It gives me something to spend my free time on.
